Nah, I think Kara is something different altogether. At this point, she's not human, but not Cylon. I'm thinking she's more of a hero (in the Greek pantheon sense, like heracles), someone who's somehow beyond mortal. That, or she's like Lee's Six -- she's an idealized form of her former self, but only in his head. Either way would explain the calm demeanor, and the latter would explain how she came into another Viper. Starbuck is back, but I don't think she's back in a normal sense.I also think this next season is going to see a lot of BSG-universe spirituality. We've got Rosylin on the root again with her shared visions, there's Baltar with a small (but growing) pocket of religious followers (what was up with the red shroud they placed over his head?), and now Kara's zen-like return (not to mention Leoben's connection to her). |

Okay, I think that was the craziest episode ever. We now know at least four of the final five. Do you think Kara is the last one, or do you think she is something totally different?add: PLUS, if that one dude is a Cylon, then there is another half and half baby. |

It was the first of two parts, that lead up to it. Tonight's was good by the way... and if you're three weeks behind now, you'll have a lot of fun watching them back-to-back. Do you have them recorded?

So I finally finished watching the mini-series. Remembered more that I thought I forgot. It was better than I thought it was the second time around. Now I know I was interested in it, but must of forgot about it when the actual series started, cause I haven't seen any episodes. I'll be watching 33 and the next one tonight.

No, that's the middle of season 2. They had a big break in the middle of the season like they used to do with Farscape. Show 10 episodes, repeat those 10, then show the next 10. The next DVD collection that comes out will be BSG Season 2.1, which, BTW, will feature an extended version of episode 2x10 "Pegasus".

Yeah, the Mini-series is that 2 2-hour episodes that they showed with the actual Cylon invasion (it was seriously chopped up into a 1-hour 3 episodes for airing on NBC). Then they made season 1 (starts off with "33" which is still about the best episode to ever show on TV, and includes 13 episodes). They're currently on season 2, which is 20-episode season. The finale airs this Friday, and I'm sure it's gonna be hellaawesome.I got the DVDs for the mini-series, season 1, and the first have of season 2 (2.0) if'n you need. The address I got for you is the APO in the directory... |

Can it really be constituted as a mini series since they're like on the third season now. Or are you talking about the pilot movie thing they first showed cuz I haven't seen that. The first episode I saw was 33. Speaking of BSG I've seen seasons one and two but none of season 3. Quade you think you can hook a brotha up like back when we used to watch Farscape? Cuz season two ended on quite the cliff hanger.

So I figured I'd start off the new TV Topic with a thread about BSG's mini series. If you haven't seen it, I don't know what you're waiting for. If you liked the original, and can't get over the fact that things are changed (like Starbuck is now a woman, and Boomer is an Asian girl), well... just watch the mini series. I watched it expecting it to be horrible, and came out with a new favorite show. This is one of the few things I own the DVD for. |
