They are putting Splenda in everything that used to be diet. My dad used to drink Pepsi One, and now he drinks it with Splenda. Like you said, nothing says that it's "new" but I think there is a little tiny "Splenda" logo somewhere on there. Actually I think that it does say "new" on the cardboard box that holds the cans. I'm just going on what I thought I remembered though.

Oh, and I don't believe anyone who drinks diet stuff regularly, when they say something tastes the same as regular. Raspberry

I went to a business expo yesterday to get some free crap, and one of the things I got was a six pack of diet mt. dew. The gal passing it out said "Would you like a six pack of the new diet mt. dew?" I was like "New?" and she was like, "Yeah, it's now sweetened with Splenda." So I brought it home, refrigerated it and am drinking one now. It tastes suprisingly like real mt. dew. It doesn't have that funky aftertast of normal diet dew.

The wierd part is, the can has no markings to distinguish it as "new" or that the formula has been altered. I went on the net to confirm what this chick told me and I can't find much, but I did find this.

I wonder if this is part of the marketing plan or if maybe they made the formula change but had a bunch of cans already made. They may pass them out like this until making the annoucement and showing it on the cans. Iunno.
