So, I've been noticing for awhile that Netflix does not seem to be so quick like they used to in regards to shipping me the latest releases. Sometimes, it's month before I get them now. Fuck that -- if I wanted to wait a month, I'd go to Blockbuster. Now, there's news stories like this one that say for sure that people that rent more movies and return them quickly are penalized by getting sent to the back of the line. So, the faster you return your movies, the slower their turnaround time will be, and the lower the chance that you'll get movies higher in your queue. So I sent them an e-mail, asking if all this is true. Apparantly, it is: Quote by Netflix:To offer a fair and balanced service to all of our members, we do give priority to members who receive fewest DVDs through our service. This can cause customers who receive the most movies to occasionally experience next-day shipping, receive movies from a location other than their local distribution center, resulting in longer delivery time, or receive movies lower in their Rental Queue more often than our other subscribers. The phrase "fair and balanced" should be a tip-off that they're not. I think I may be cancelling soon. That is, if these tricks don't help... |
