I have to admit, I thought it could only be so funny... being a 20-minute show, and having a simplistic premise (seeking redemption from past sins after hearing of this philosophy that carson daily made up called "karma") -- but it's just downright fucking hilarious. Best American comedy I've seen in a loooong time. Also, good to see that Lost has returned. Though, we're seriously jonesing for Battlestar Galactica here. Not sure how we'll make it until January... |

I forgot about another show that I watch regularly, although I miss it on it's original air date it does air a second time on Sundays 9 & 10pm CST. But they are two different shows back to back. The show is called Family Plots. For those who haven't seen it, it's about a mortuary owned by a man with a family that works for him, so they are all close to one another. The only one not related is the actual owner, but they argue and do pranks to one another and bicker, it's pretty sweet. They also show behind the scenes things for a funeral, preparing bodies and embalming, it's pretty interesting. So far the most difficult show I have watched is the one where they did a funeral for this baby girl with cerebral palsy. That was sad, it got to everyone that worked in the funeral home too. But anyway, if you like reality like shows, I would recommend this one.Family Plots on A&E, for sure I know it starts Sundays at 9 CST. |

(Potential spoilers): Spoiler Alert! like the woman that wasn't pregnant when she was taken but is now. and the really rich guy that's building a returnee colony with LOTS of security.

I am definitley looking forward to Nip/Tuck. I wish they wouldn't take so long between seasons, but every chance I get to see Julian McMahon's ass, hey--I'm taking it!! Anyway, that's my favorite show of all time so far. Second runner up is The Shield, I have the hots for Michael Chiklis too, although most of you guys shudder at that, probably remembering him in The Commish. He's much more buff and bald is definitley cool on him for those of you that haven't seen it yet. I did start watching Rescue Me, fortunately I think they are either re-showing the last season or started up a new one so I caught it at the beginning, but I think it's pretty good. Definitley going to tune in to that from now on. And of course, gotta throw in the South Park and Simpson's that I watch with Pooh, and he's got me started on CSI also, been watching that with him for a while now. As far as "girle" shows, I definitley love Gilmore Girls, I will watch that even though I may have seen the episode before, and I love Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. There's also this new one on MTV called "Meet the Parkers" with the Drummer of Blink 182 and his wife, and that's cute because they have a son that's Hunter's age so it shows their life with a kid, and I can relate. Even celebs want to pull their hair out, makes me feel LOADS better.. |

I think I still prefer the British version though -- there's just something about the British humor that works better. And speaking of British shows over here -- check out Spooks if you can (in the U.S. it's called MI5). More stuff like Nip/Tuck, the new BSG... edgy stuff. And fuck the FCC, too.Have ya'll watched the American version of The Office? Yeah. Nip/Tuck is awesome. The major networks need to think about growing some balls, and putting shows like these after hours. That'd be sweet. Hell, they've got the V-chip for people to easily control what their kids see, so it seems logical to release the grips of "safe" TV formats.I also watch the Shield. This season is more annoying than tense. I can't stand Glen Close, and Shane is just an annoying asshole. I wouldn't mind seeing him killed off. He used to have reason in previous seasons, but now he's just a thug. I like his new family backstory though. Show more of his heart and I'll start liking him again. I never had the chance to catch Rescue Me. It looks awesome. Maybe I'll try to jump into the new season, and read up on the past. Heck. Maybe download the past episodes. How about that new Boscho series coming out? Looks interesting. Hopefully not to political. I'll give it a shot. |

Gabie likes Gilmore Girls too, but she has a hard time watching it cause we are usually busy doing something else.Lost. It begins with a plane crash with about 40 survivors. Each episode has 2 stories. 1. The day to day island stuff. Trying to get off. People getting to know or getting to hate people. Finding weird, mysterious things on the island and not knowing what they are. 2. Flashbacks. Each episode will pick a character and interweave his/her backstory with the present island life. What makes the series great is that you find out these amazing things about these characters, and they ALL somehow weaved together. It appears that there is a purpose why THESE people were on this plane. Even the flashbacks weave in with one another. Another thing that makes the series great is the mystery of it all. Why are there POLAR BEARS on this island? What is the huge creature that lives in the forest of the island. What is the mysterious "thing with a window" buried in the ground? People have given theories...They are in Limbo. They are part of a science experiment. It's each of their imaginations. They crashed on Atlantis. Who knows. Just when you think you've got the answer, the new episode will throw you a curve ball. So if you watch this, I suggest you watch it from the beginning. It's a GREAT series. You'll love it, I promise. |

Yeah, I've got all the BSG episodes (plus the mini series), plus most of medium (i can always backtrack if you need them). But BSG has some great replay value. Everytime I watch an episode again, I see more going on than the time before. And they have some pretty heavy religious content, too, btw. Season 2 starts this summer from what i hear, so you've got time to get caught up.And yes, the gilmore girls are on my list. though Angel maintains that they require 2 slots on the list, and not just 1 like i have them. (i mean, it's the "Gilmore Girls", not "Gilmore Girl" -- it just wouldn't be the same one at a time...). btw, I just realized my hair is getting like Joe's from Medium... |

But I think my favorite is Gilmore girls.....I know you guys probably wouldn't like it but it is really witty and they have the same kind of sarcatic humor that we do. I also like her Russian broken English accent.I wanted to watch Medium, but didn't missed the premiere + a couple of episodes. I haven't been able to watch BSG either. I'd like to see Revelations. Looks cool. I love semi-religious shows that last. I hope this one does. I saw a couple of episodes of Joan of Arcadia, and it was really good. I don't get a chance to watch that though, cause it airs on Friday night. I'm not home on Friday night. Now that Gabie works 3PM to 11PM, I get a lot of TV time in. I'm going to start taping shows like I used to do in my teenage years. Pausing for commercials and all. I love doing that. Unfortunately, Lost is a show you have to watch from the beginning to get the full "this show is awesome!!!" effect. You can always download the episodes I guess and catch up. |
